The purpose of this Special Meeting is to consider and, if appropriate, take action upon a proposed settlement intended to resolve the federal litigation entitled: United States of America v. Rockland County, et al.,

Case No. 7:25cv00507CS, pending in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, in which the Village of Spring Valley is a named defendant, including authorization for the Mayor and appropriate counsel to execute settlement related documents as permitted by law.

The Board may also enter Executive Session pursuant to Section 105(1)(d) of the New York Open Meetings Law to discuss proposed, pending, or current litigation. No other business shall be conducted except such business as may lawfully come before the Board at a Special Meeting.
