Garbage & Recycling Days
Through the Rockland County Solid Waste Management Authority, Miele Sanitation, a private garbage collector has been contracted to remove garbage from private residences in the Village of Spring Valley.
Household garbage and bulk items are picked up by Miele Sanitation as follows:
· Monday and Tuesday, household garbage only.
· Wednesday, recyclables only.
· Thursday and Friday, household garbage and bulk furniture items.
NOTE: If you are disposing of construction debris, you must contact Miele Sanitation or any private collector you choose to have this debris removed.
Please feel free to contact Miele Sanitation directly should your garbage, recyclables and / or bulk items not be removed on your street’s collection days. Miele Sanitation can be reached at (201) 768-5407 or (201) 768-3818.
Should you have any other difficulties regarding garbage removal, do not hesitate to contact the Rockland County Solid Waste Management Authority with your complaint. The number to call is (845) 753-2200.
IMPORTANT RECYCLING INSTRUCTIONS
· Recyclables are pick up on Wednesday only by Miele Sanitation.
· Place recycling containers CURBSIDE for pick up before 6 A.M. on Wednesday. If items are not at curbside, they will not be removed.
· Cardboard boxes are to be flattened and placed next to the recycling container.
· NO GARBAGE SHALL BE PLACED IN CARDBOARD BOXES OR CONTAINERS AT ANY TIME.
